Admission Procedure - St. Mary's School
St. Mary’s School, Rishra is a CISCE-affiliated English medium school dedicated to providing quality education in an environment that emphasizes discipline, character building, and holistic development. Admission Guidelines
- Academic Session: Begins in the 1st week of April every year.
- Admission Notice: Published in October, after the Puja vacation.
Age Eligibility
- Play Group (PG) – 2+ years
- Lower Nursery (LN) – 3+ years
- Upper Nursery (UN) – 4+ years
- Kindergarten (KG) – 5+ years
- Class I – 6+ years, and so on.
Documents Required
- Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate
- One stamp-size photograph each of the candidate, father, and mother
- Photocopy of parents’ identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
- Transfer Certificate and progress report of the previous school for admission to Class I and above (Mandatory)
- Medical fitness certificate in case of any medical condition.
Special Consideration
- Siblings of existing students will be given preference for admission up to Class I without an admission test, subject to submission of valid documentary proof.
- Other candidates will be required to appear for the admission test as per eligibility.
Admission Procedure
- Form: Admission forms must be collected from and submitted to the School Office.
- Screening: Selected candidates will be informed via phone call and email.
Admission Test & Interview:
- Play Group to Kindergarten: Guardian interview (with child)
- Class I onwards: Written admission test (Subjects: English & Mathematics), followed by a guardian interview.
- Results: Lists of selected students will be displayed on the school notice board.
- Eligibility: Admission is based on performance in the test and interview, availability of seats, and fulfillment of age and academic criteria.
- Non-refundable Fees: Please note that all admission fees are non-refundable.
Withdrawal Policy
- A written application must be submitted by the parent/guardian in case of withdrawal.
- Transfer Certificate (TC) will only be issued after clearing all dues.
- A fee of ₹500 is applicable for issuing the Transfer Certificate.
- No TC will be issued unless all financial obligations to the school are fully settled.
